They dug the pool in 4 days last week.  It should have taken three, but they hit rock below 6 feet in the deep end.  Actually, were were quite lucky that they didn’t hit rock before that.

Because the rock sat under the spot where they had the exit ramp, they had to dig up the exit ramp, pound out all the rock, and then build a ramp again, to remove the dirt.  Then, once all the dirt was out, they pull the ramp up using the excavator.

We would have gone straight to steel, plumbing, and then shotcrete, but a rain storm decided to come through so all that is delayed.
