The three layers of gravel were finished on Tuesday; the driveway is ready for pavers.

Here are some good shots of the three different types of rock / gravel we laid down.  First, 8 inches of larger rock, from 1.5-3 inches.

Then 4 inches of medium sized rock, 3/4″.

Then 2 inches of small gravel, 1/4″ or so.  This is also called “pea” gravel.

Here you can see all three of the layers exposed.

Yesterday morning, the pavers were delivered, just in time for two days of rain, with work stopped for the duration.
