The last few bits of the shingles are being installed this week, and there are a few remaining railings to be installed. Now, for the most part, it is up to the painters. Last week all the tubing for our central vac was installed. We’ve got 10 plug-in points around the house, and will have three 30 to 50 foot hoses. The stone masons have been busy cutting stone from our pile into 4 inch pieces suitable for skinning the fireplace and raised foundation walls. We met with 4 different water treatment companies this week. In Santa Barbara, most of our water comes from the Santa Ynez Valley watershed, which feeds Cachuma Lake.
