After finishing the large wall, the plasters left for a bit.  Last week they came back to finish a large part of the plaster on the house, the outside stairwell.

The stairwell goes from the ground floor up to the office, and then down to the basement. The part going down to the basement got plaster on the walls and ceiling – quite a bit of plaster work.  We had to use plaster because the stairwell is open to the elements and could get wet, so we had to use something water proof.

It turned out great.

At the bottom of the stairwell is a little closet that the kids are sure to enjoy making into a fort, if there aren’t too many spiders.
