Two weeks ago the driveway mouth was poured, and what a difference.
Here it is being formed …

We wanted to put our kids hand prints in it, but the inspector said no. However, he did say we could put a stamp of some sort, like contractors used to. I happened to have a relief version of our family crest, which we pushed into the wet cement.
Unfortunately, when it was dry and we power-washed off the top to give it that etched concrete look, a lot of the relief went away. But in the right light, you can still see it.
