We’ve always had a high ideal of re-using as much of the old house we tore down as possible, or giving it to others to reuse.
To that end, is a nice story about the recycling of the old shed and fence that was behind the house. The shed and fence appear to have been quite old given the appearance of the wood. Here is what was left of the shed after we tore some of the siding boards off.
You can see it in the back there. And here is the fence that was behind it.
The two provided quite a bit of good Douglas fir planks.
One of our framers took some of the planks and made this great dining table out of it.
Love the Coors Light can.
