It’s funny that we call this building the pool house, because we won’t have a pool for a while. We’ve made some good progress over the last few weeks, and there has been a lot to do.
The painting was finished on the outside about a month ago. Last week, the roof was put on and we framed out the chimney extension.
The chimney extension will get covered in stone to match the fireplace below. The roof still needs the gutters and the downspouts.
On the inside, the plumber has been hard at work finishing the plumbing, including the tankless water heater.
He’s also run a line set to the outside shower location.
There is still quite a bit left to do for this little building:
- Electrical rough-in, starts tomorrow
- Then the inside can get drywalled
- Then the floor can get tiled
- Then the plumbing finished can be installed
On the outside, we will have a large deck the goes from side to side, sticking out past the roof by 8 or so feet on either side.
The landscapers are forming up for retaining walls on either side, with steps on the front, and then we can build the decking.
