We had our appliances installed this week. Here is the kitchen before:
And after:
Like most things related to construction, it didn’t go exactly according to plan. The stone contractor wanted to cut in the stove cutout when the stove was here, which they did, but then when the installers tried to push the stove back, it was too tight. Similarly, we wanted to place the pot filler once the stove cutout was done, which we did, but then the plumber didn’t have the correct fittings to connect it up. It was two days later we were able to get both resolved and push the stove back.
It is great to actually have a working refrigerator, which is already nicely stocked with drinks.
I tried the first ice out of the bar ice machine, and it is really salty. Not sure what is going on there. I’ll start by reading the instructions. Perhaps they pack in some salt to protect it? I’m wildly guessing here.
The other bummer is that one appliance apparently got removed from our order inadvertently, so we’ll have to wait another couple of weeks to get it.
