It’s been a busy day here at the project site.\u00a0 In preparation for the palm moving, a tree stump had to be extracted.<\/p>\n

It took a good 2-3 hours of digging with the backhoe to free that stump and it was quite a site to see it finally being moved.<\/p>\n

This is what the base of the palms looks like when it is all dug out in preparation for the move.<\/p>\n

Builder Charlie and I spent a few hours today measuring off the survey markers and marking the reference lines that will be used to place the new palms.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow the crane comes bright and early to start moving the palms.\u00a0 We expect to have the three smaller ones moved tomorrow.\u00a0 None of the Palms are the exact same size, so we did some ad hoc measurement to try and see how different they are, to decide in what order to plant them, and adjust the burial depth slightly to make them match better.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
