home stretch"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The last few bits of the shingles are being installed this week, and there are a few remaining railings to be installed.\u00a0 Now, for the most part, it is up to the painters.\u00a0 The shingles are all pre-painted, so they will only require touch-up where damaged or where they were cut, like this bottom edge.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decorative elements (rafter tails, corbels, knee braces) are pained.\u00a0 What remains for the most part are the railings, eves, and siding.<\/p>\n<p>With the siding, the color we originally chose didn&#8217;t look that good in our test.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-800 aligncenter\"
