{"id":606,"date":"2017-03-01T08:52:48","date_gmt":"2017-03-01T16:52:48","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/?p=606"},"modified":"2017-03-02T10:36:00","modified_gmt":"2017-03-02T18:36:00","slug":"drywall-loading","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/index.php\/2017\/03\/01\/drywall-loading\/","title":{"rendered":"Drywall loading"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;ve arranged for the scaffolding to be installed and expect the installation of windows to begin in the next week.\u00a0 To prepare for the installation of windows (and other final look elements that might suffer from a shift in the building foundation) it is important to load the building with the heaviest materials so that any settling occurs before these things are installed.\u00a0 We also considered this when we talked about <a href=\"\/index.php\/2017\/01\/17\/roof-loading\/\">roof loading<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>One of the heaviest elements that will be installed is the drywall.\u00a0 We had three semi trailers of drywall delivered the other day.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-607\" src=\"http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_2924-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_2924-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_2924-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_2924-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>It took a 5-man crew almost the entire day to move the drywall into all the rooms of the house, where it was left in stacks.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-608\" src=\"http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_2927-1024x768.jpg\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" srcset=\"http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_2927-1024x768.jpg 1024w, http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_2927-300x225.jpg 300w, http:\/\/buildingfromscratch.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/03\/IMG_2927-768x576.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>18 stacks were delivered that each contained 28 pieces of 10&#8217;x4&#8242;
