The electricians have been here for a month now, doing the finish.\u00a0 This includes installing the outlets, light fixtures, switches, and the Lutron system that will control it all.<\/p>\n

There is lots of lighting, including LED cans, sconces, and surface mount fixtures on the inside.<\/p>\n

There are quite a few really cool craftsman fixtures on the outside.<\/p>\n

About 90% of the lighting is up now, but we still have weeks before we can get the electrical sign-off and make the house go hot.<\/p>\n

One of the impediments is that typically, the smoke detectors (which are installed by the electricians) are signed off at the same time as the rest of the electrical.\u00a0 But, you can’t have the smoke detectors active while you are still making lots of dust, as they will go off repeatedly.\u00a0 That may delay us further if we aren’t done with the major woodwork in the next few weeks.<\/p>\n
